Of those studying other fields, 43% were TAs, 25% were RAs, 29% were supported by fellowships or scholarships, and 3% were self-funded. Self-funded includes family assistance, loans, and wages. For those enrolled in graduate school, 39% hoped to work at a college or university and 34% hoped to work in the private sector. Overall, 43% hoped to work in the private sector and 30% hoped to work at a college or university. Overall also includes responses from individuals who were unemployed. Respondents were asked in which employment sector they hoped to be working ten years in the future.
